UP FOR SALE IS A BRAND NEW WINDSHIELD FRAME COWL WEATHERSTRIP WEATHER SEAL FOR THE JEEP CJ CJ5 CJ7 CJ8 FROM 1976-1986
THIS FITS BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD FRAME & THE BODY COWL PANEL
ITEM IS NUMBER 8 IN PICTURE........
Fit's on the windshield frame lower potion & seals the w/s frame to the body.
Easy to install. Must tilt the w/s frame forward to remove the old seal. It attaches to the frame with screws.
Please make sure while your waiting for the new seal to arrive that you spray lube in the windshield hinges like a WD40. Over years their tend to get stuck.
If you try to tilt the frame down & the hinges stick it will likely break the hinge. Then you have the added expense in new hinges (which I can supply).
