    The detachment assists law enforcement missions in the Caribbean, including drug and migrant interdiction and maritime safety.
    This patch was introduced in 2008 when the Detachment requested additional patches.
    It is a new, large size 4 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" tall color patch.
    This 2008 issue differs from the earlier issue with a corrected spelling of 'Detachment' instead of 'Detatchment' and no daylight thru the lookout tower.
    It is computer sewn, 100% embroidered, with a cut edge and a clean, sealed back.
