Rare indeed framed fishing fly (Kate) by world renowned undisputed world master:
Belarmino Martinez
Subsequent to the early Victorian fly tiers, Belarmino Martinez, Pravia-Region Asturias, during his lifetime, (1919 / 2000) this Spanish fly tyer was considered by his peers to be one of the greatest fly tyers in the world now deceased. His works offered for sale are considered ultra rare besides.
I purchased this fly in 2004 from Lang's Auction (it can be traced) as a set along one of his other flies, "Pas River." Well, Pas River had everything attached including the traditional black paper Mr Martinez usually finished the back with. The fly is old and I had no choice but to have it repapered back in 2004 when I bought it. But rest assure, everything is still there except that paper and is in wonderful shape for its age.
