    Description

This is a Mola, one of the last primitive art forms: a variation of the reverse appliqué craft passed down from generation to generation. Mola is a Cuna word meaning dress or suit. Your Mola was stitched by the skillful hands of a Cuna Indian living on the San Blas Islands off the coast of the Republic of Panama.
These Molas were collected by my father before we left the Canal Zone in 1970. They are all of vintage quality and authentic design.
