UNITED STATES COAST GUARD Plain Aluminum Mardi Gras Doubloon

Here's the
Undated United States Coast Guard Plain Aluminum
Doubloon.
The
doubloon
measures 39 mm or 1 1/2" in diameter and is in
Excellent Condition.
Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.
Note:  The obverse features the USCG
Insignia
.  The reverse features the USCG Bark Eagle and a Modern USCG Cruiser
and reads "IF YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES...TAKE THE COAST GUARD."  Various USCG Groups participate in several of the Mardi Gras Parades throughout the Greater New Orleans Area during the Carnival Season each year.  Back in the 70's and 80's, some of the Members these Groups would occasionally toss one of these doubloons to eager Parade Spectators along the Parade Route.  Most years, the doubloons were dated, but some years they were not.  This doubloon is undated but was probably issued during the 80's.  This doubloon is much nicer than it appears in the photos
