Starting back in the 1880s the Thomas Strahan Company began printing fine wallpapers in the Chelsea neighborhood of Boston.  Eventually they specialized in recreating historical designs that were treasured and sought after by generations of New England homeowners.  Unfortunately their historic atelier has been demolished and most of their rollers have been destroyed.  Since this pattern is no longer in production, don't miss out!
This eBay Buy-It-Now listing is for the much-admired BROOKFIELD pattern, which is thought to have been adapted from an original document found in Brookfield, Connecticut.  The design appears to date from the middle of the 19th Century, but would be appropriate for Colonial, Federal, and Victorian interiors.
Throughout the last half of the 20th Century this pattern, in this coloring (the original, documentary color scheme) was absolutely one of the best-selling of the Thomas Strahan wallpaper designs.

The booklet is undated, but appears to have been produced circa 1986, the centennial of the company. The step-by-step printing process is illustrated in sequential samples bound into the booklet. Eight rollers were required for this pattern, plus a ninth roller for the dotted ground utilized only in the document colorway #1.
SPECS:
This wallpaper is packaged and sold in double roll bolts. Each double roll bolt is 20 1/2" wide and 14 yards in length.  A double roll bolt will cover about 60 square feet.  The design has a 15 3/4" vertical pattern repeat and is a drop match.  The wallpaper is pre-trimmed and unpasted.  All of my inventory is new-pristine condition, factory-sealed rolls all from the same dye lot.
