This Mola Panel was handstitched By Kuna Tribal Women from Panamá. All Molas I am offering are handmade using a reverse applique technique. Fabric layers (from two to seven) ofdifferent-colored cloth fabric (almost all the times it is a cotton fabric) aresewn together. The panel design is then formed by cutting away parts of eachlayer. The edges of the layers are then turned under and sewn down. Usually thestitches are nearly invisible. This is achieved by using a thread the samecolor as the layer being sewn, sewing blind stitches, and sewing tiny stitches. The finest molas have extremely fine stitching, made using tiny needles. AllKuna Mola textiles have the edges of the fabric left unfinished as they aremade for sewing into dresses, shirts, skirts, framed or adding into largerpieces such as quilts. For buyers of multiple items please email me when youare done shopping for your custom made invoice with combined shipping &insurance fees. Thank you for stopping by my EBay shop!
